Difficulty posting from an iPad

Hi guys

Keith & I were away over the last week & luckily, our camping ground allowed us 2hrs free wifi each day, so I was able to keep track of FR's posts on most days ...... but for some reason, I couldn't post a reply to anything using the iPad keyboard! It just wouldn't come up when I clicked on 'reply'.

Using another website, I was able to type a short message & then copy it across by 'pasting' it, but even that was tricky, as it would only allow me to copy ONE message across a day! Very frustrating! Plus of course, you couldn't change or add anything, once it was copied across!

Has anyone else had difficulty posting using an iPad?

Not sure about ipad, but on Androids sometimes you need to tap the text area for the keyboard to come up. Altho i remember having to do the same when i had an iphone ages ago

he, he, I tapped the text field so often & hard, that it should have a monster headache by now! I must admit - I didn't try the 'after market' keyboard that we bought - I was just using the 'pop up' keyboard, tho figured it really SHOULD work!

I was just using Safari, as I would on my Macbook Pro or Desktop Mac - so really, it SHOULD work OK? It is the 2nd generation iPad (the most current model being 3rd gen, methinks!!)

I figure that computers are designed to frustrate ...... or to make you feel inferior!

Back home again, on my 'bigger mac' & all is good again!
