Bardy Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Good afternoon Raiders.. Has anyone ventured off Cronulla in the last couple of days ? I would like to know what the current is doing at the moment.. BOM Ocenaography looks like its still running downhill slightly. Can anybody verify at how many knots.. Cheers Bardi
Mr Squid Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Hi Bardi, Not sure whats doing off Cronulla however the current around Longreef has been running fairly hard to the South, this was as late as Thursday afternoon/evening. Squidy

Guest Aussie007 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Sounds good, but, what did you catch? Yowie. around 40 fish were boated 1 big fish lost it went strait for the reef and snagged all the fish caught were mostly flattys from 12cm to the biggest we took home 40cm and snappers the average flatty would have been around 25cm
Guest Aussie007 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 if anyone is heading out to these spots over the weekend be careful of the bommie just off south head it was low tide and looked nasty today

Mr Squid Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 The best flathead bait is strips of flatheas, always cut the first one up for bait.
