Hey Rich! Nice to meet you too mate! That's an awesone showing of fish and there are some pretty large arches there, definitely not rats! Put a whole squid down next time and I can almost gurantee you'll hook up onto them! But please use heavier gear :). How long did you stay there for?

Stayed there till 7 had the yellowtail on the bigger gear had some small runs must be sambos or tailors

might go for a run on thursday if weather is ok

do you know how to get rid of the vertical skated lines ?

I too have a hds and get the dirty vertical lines, gave me the shits.... turning down the gain will clear it up somewhat but I fixed the problem all together by replacing it with a Furuno 585...clear images at any speed/depth .

Another problem could be of dirty water from your hull passing over the transducer .

Looks like electrical interference

Looks like you had the motor in gear until you drifted over the mark and then the lines vanish once you have put the motor into neutral

Check the routing of your cabling for the Sounder and make sure it doesn't run along side the cabling for the motor as it causes interference

I agree. Also check you have selected the right transducer in your options menu. Just a thought.

I made sure i did not run it near any power cables .

I might have to sit at home and have a play on it .

Dhype you can't tell somebody that just bought a expensive toy that you bought the wrong toy.

You just have to pretend and tell me that is was the right choice. (lol)

May be the next boat might have furno gear installed.

Hi

I had trouble with interference on my sounder which is a furuno overcame it by running off a sperate battery to motor and rest of electricals.
