Yowie Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Fished Gymea Bay early this morning for 2 bream and 1 undersize reddie, that was it. The surface had a lot of scum and leaves floating about, not pleasant looking at all. Pumped some nippers at Grays Point, and pulled out 4 whiting and another bream. There were a few whiting swimming about, but once the tide slowed, the fish just disappeared. Biggest bream was 34cm and whiting at 35cm, but most were just under 30cm, so not big fish. The water was cool while standing in it, temperature is dropping, but the water at Wanda Beach is still a bit warmer when swimming there a couple of days ago. Yowie.
Plumb Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 You always manage a feed. Well done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jew Stalker Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Whiting are such great fun. I love attacking them on poppers. They are such aggressive little fish when it comes to top water.
Yowie Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 Whiting are such great fun. I love attacking them on poppers. They are such aggressive little fish when it comes to top water. They were a bit quiet today, some days they are aggressive towards each other when feeding, but today each one was doing it's own thing, and when the current slowed, they all just disappeared, could not even see a little one. Might be the cooler water.
Krispy ! Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Ahh well its going to cool down sooner or later, still acouple of nice fish there yowie
J Hooked Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Mate, you're the King of the Hacking. I've never had good results from that river. Hopefully my luck will change for next summer.
