Yowie Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Can you eat long Toms? Are reasonable to eat, but would prefer the garfish, much better tasting. Best to cut the fillets off, rather than cook a whole fish. (applies to both) With a long filleting knife, the rib bones can be carefully cut from the fillets. Only needs a short time to cook. A simple way is to breadcrumb the fillets and pan fry.
bharris Posted May 26, 2012 Author Posted May 26, 2012 Let the long tom go so dont know what they taste like and it would be tomuch work with the bones.would have ate the gars if i got more but ran out of the gulps i was cutting up and using as bait for the gars there salting up now ready to spin of the rocks for kings and big talor Sent from my GT-I9100T using Tapatalk 2
