Fished the beach at low tide

Hi all,

Went to fish the beach at the bottom of tide and the sea was mirror flat.

Caught 7 fish various specis and packed up 7:30pm

Gave the largest salmon to neighbour to try his curry recipe (promised last Saturday), still found my cleaning table too small this morning.

Fish cake is the way to go with the salmon fillet and light grill should be fine with the tailor fillets.

Yes, Paul, it was 3:00 pm~7:30 pm yesterday.

It was yesterday afternoon. I had the gutter to myself and there were not even surfers thanks to the low/no wave.

I fished with bait (pilchards most of the times)from northern beaches.

You should try slabbing one of those tailor or salmon and lobbing it out there for a Jew.

I tried a few times but the whalers are always too quick to take the bigger baits, and with the hooks as well. If my fishing buddy calls me this Saturday, I might stay longer for jew.

Any fish brought back from a beach session is a bonus on top of getting sand between the toes!
