sean221 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Recently ive been fishing a fair bit with the little one due to the mrs taking on her hospital placements during the day for a month straight. Anyways got to the spot at around 1030 am as high tide hit at 1130. 2 houurs before and after peaknhigh tide is when i think its best to fish this spot. The choice of bait was live tube worms which was my firt time using as i usually fish soft plastics, but because of the little one bait was theonly option. 6 lb main line and 8 lb trace was the outfit and a general running sinker to swivel and half meter leader was used. So what i would do was set up the area with a picnic mat and toys for thelittle one and threw the line in and just wait. Which i hate because i get bored easily, but with little seth keeping me busy the line was left in the wet to do its job. Anyways ended up catching a 35 cm king george whiting, and a couple undersized ones also and a decent 27 cm bream that gave a very fun run as the drag was set not too tight at all. All were released to live and fight anothernday. Sorry no photos because im on the ipad. Will upload soon. Thanks for reading guys! Btw ive been fishing the iron cove bridge some mornings, mif anyone got any tips there or expiriences, hit us up! I wanna hear them. The usual catch there is smal,l baby snapkper, bream taylor. And i have seen a massive massive! Blue swimmer just in sight near the shore line mating tiwh another bliue swimmer. Im telling younit was f...ken massive! Lovely to see the system healthy and differentnspecies around. 'limit your kill, dont kill your limit' -sean221.
