ashisnothereman Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 (edited) hit up clifton gardens last night, had the wharf to myself, and it was very, very quite. started wondering why no one else was there and what they knew that i didn't. suddenly my cheapy rod, with a shimano reel started screaming. i have a shoulder injury so my mate took on the fish and eventually a decent flatty surfaced and we went home happy! cheers! craigbutcher Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 HI mate, Nice fish. Were you; 1) drifting lightly weighted baits 2) using plastics 3) or, just anchoring the bait on the bottom. As they are ambush preditors, I am aways interested in the approach. Thanks Craig

sydlb Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Nice catch. Decent size flattie! Gotta be happy with that one. Lucky to get the wharf to yourself. Normally very busy place there.
sam bros Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 if only you always caught that kind of fish at clifton gardens
