Fished near the mouth of Yowie Bay early this morning, a few reddies about but just under size. Also 2 small jewies, just under and just over legal size.

Pulled out a salmon near 60cm, but it was a skinny one, had not had a decent feed for a while, so sent it back with the jewies.

Just about to pack up, when I hooked a 58cm tailor. Weighed 4 pound, on a 10 pound hand line, so a bit of fun as it swam under the boat, around the motor and jumped out the other side of the boat. At least something for a feed.

I was out on the hacking last thursday for pretty much the same results small reddies and flatheads did manage a 40 cm trevally on a hard bodie and a 50 cm tailor trolling the heads in three hours

Well done, I managed to get out Friday arvo for few hours, missed the low tide at Grays point to had to head to Mainbar to pump some small nippers, tried around mainbar for 1 nice whiting then headed back down toward Grays Point for another 35cm whiting and two 45cm Flathead.

Becoming a bit quiet now, though did hear there were some big whiting landed on Gunnamatta flats a few days ago. Only a couple of other boats about in the cool weather this morning.

Water temp is down to 15.7 degrees inside the hacking when i was out this afternoon

Plenty of pillies in large schools were busting the surface lilli pilli to gymea baths heading in but nothing else chasing them.
