Lilli Pilli

I'll keep this short and sweet - Dad pulled in a 4 inch starfish, but that was it. Watched about 8 different boats drift the sandflats for zilch also. Only a couple of other land based fishos on the wharf; I think everyone was going home with burgers or bbq chicken today. Not even a nibble from a toadfish, undersize pinky, or biddy.

Anyone else in the area today that did ok?

I went out in the boat both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Live nippers both times, a few salmon on saturday on the nippers but Sunday couldnt barely lose a bait and fished everywhere between Grays Point and Lilli Pilli. I would have been one ofthe boats you seen there drifting around.

Ive been out saturday, sunday and monday. Sunday we kept 4 flatties around the 40cm mark and a couple of squid. Yesterday caught 10 flatties and not one keeper. All around 30cm.... Painful in the hacking at times

Have to agree, the water is now clear and cold, maybe nighttime might be better, but temperature is colder.

Deer Park early today, Wednesday, for an undersize bream and reddie, plus a salmon just under 60cm that grabbed the only live yellowtail I had. Showers most of the morning as well.

Drifted the Lilli Pilli flats with nippers for no bites, only saw a couple of whiting and blackfish swimming about. 1 legal bream at Gunnamatta flats, but no other bites.

Spoke to a couple of other fishos, nothing caught by them.

Yowie.
