I caught this off Lion Is last Sat night, I guess make, shark but which model?

Sorry the pic isn't better it kept moving and the boat wouldn't stop for the pic.

Hard to tell from the pic, but i would guess a baby port Jackson

just looked at a Port Jackson and no this one had a mouth full of teeth and at first we thought it had no eyes, also very long and slender. Looked like an eel when we got it into the landing net it rolled around and tied itself into a small ball.

sorry Nanook it didn't look like a cat type the mouth was very much like a predator with three rows of teeth. no whiskers that where on the web pics that i could see :( thanks for all your input :)

hmmm, could it be somekind of carpet shark then????

I had a couple of them like that over in NZ. the locals called them carpet sharks. They look and behave alot like Dogfish from back home.

Cute little smile if you turn them over. :biggrin2:
