sounder/plotter upgrade

Need to upgrade my sounder/plotter, thinking of the simrad nss7. Has anyone used one before, let me know what you think.

Are there any other brands to consider.

I am also looking at upgrading my sounder and was looking at a couple of Furuno models but believe there maybe a new model released at the Sydney Boat Show in the first week of August so will be waiting till then. It's also a good opportunity to compare various brands all under one roof as opposed to chasing from shop to shop to check out different brands.
