trentarena89 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I'm upgrading my gear and looking for some new rock ledges to target Kings when the water warms up towards the end of the year so I've been doing some research on spots around Helensburgh/National Park. I've found two ledges that seem alright. Has anyone fished these areas, I'm just looking for some info on walking tracks to Era and Bolga and how rough they are, just trying to determine the amount of gear I can get away with carrying? Thanks. Edited July 5, 2012 by trentarena89
stormy Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Easy walk down to Bulgo. Walking back up is the other side of the equation. If you see any country folk pickin on the banjo, don't approach them. It needs to be said, pay a great deal of respect to the ocean down there, or anywhere for that matter.

Yeah I've been told to avoid bolga. The locals aren't the friendliest of people. Yeah I hate to see places trashed. Really ruins the serenity of fishing. Any knowledge of burning palms?
elferoz777 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Trent you read my mind re land based spots for kingies. If you ever want to try one of those spots out let me know and I will come out. I would imagine they can also be caught from Coalcliff ledge int he right conditions.

I've heard of them being caught there but only small rats and I've only seen one landed there. I think the area is overfished as there is easily 20-30 people trying to get the point.
