Fin' Tomorrow?

So who’s heading out for fin’ tomorrow and what’s the plan?

I’m limited with the resources I have but BOM is showing warm temps SE of browns (appears to be thinning and diminishing) and again a fair way past heatons.

Last time I chased the temp breaks but couldn’t find the fin, only managing to land one albacore. Heard a few guys had a lot of success trolling blindly between browns and heatons last week, several albacore and stripies, 1 or 2 marlin and a patch of yellowfin. Any of the latter will do me just fine.

Interestingly, last week, on my return journey from 30km due east, I found more and more bait the closer I got to browns.

I believe if you subscribe to seasurface.com or a similar service it will be money well spent, as currents and temps change every day, to make the most of your outings, especially if you are already burning fuel going that far, that's my opinion. I can't wait for a satellite weather service to be available so we can load sst charts on our chart plotters, as they have it in he states, would anybody know when something like this will be available? Its called Sirius weather in the states.

Might be heading tomorrow. Monday also looks the goods if I can swing it. SST charts are only good if the preceding days have been cloud free, unlike today. Maybe it's just the way I use it but a bit hit and miss. User error or do you guys find the same.

Cheers

I still subscribe to seasurfacetemp.com, but I have only recently discovered Rip charts, which is a lot better map, easier to use, and seems to be a bit better with cloud cover. On top of this Rip charts is less than half price than sea surface. Hope fully we can get out early in the week.

Good luck out there boys.

Cheers

Scott
