Chaffey Posted July 12, 2012 Share Posted July 12, 2012 Hi All Just getting back in to fishing after a few years off due to work and Uni, and the old sounder has died, not that it was up to scratch. Looking at a new sounder and need some advice. Can anyone explain which transducer etc is needed for deep water offshore use? (Out and around Browns) Been looking at the Lowrance HDS7,8 & 10 however the 8&10 are a bit more than i would like to spend. Which sounder and correct equipment do i need? Chaffey Posted July 13, 2012 Author Share Posted July 13, 2012 Yeah forgot about attending the boat show. The problem with that is the advice comes from a sales rep who has a vested interest. I am after advice from people who use their products and do not have a Bias opinion. (Beyong Holden/Ford or Furuno/Lowrance) Can anyone else offer advice?
