The other day I took my son down to Botany Bay for an hour for a quick squid sesh.

This is what he pulled up.

Salt and pepper Calamari for the family that day

Solid effort! I'll have to get down to botany bay and have a go on the squid jig..havnt done it before though but love calamari...mmm any tips?

That's pretty awesome where can you fish land based in botany? I have been searching for a long time now and can't seem to find anywhere good at all?

Bare Island always have squid lurking around... throw a few 2.5 size jigs into the kelp and you will get some. There are some massive squid about at the moment!
