josamill Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Just as an fyi took my 6 year old fishing at our local jetty on Pittwater yesterday. Pumped 20 solid nippers and rigged a little outfit..........small hook tiny sinker just so the little guy could have a cast. End result 8 red bream all under 10cm. People next to us on prawns catching nothing. He was very happy and enjoyed holding and releasing the fish, though he did try to feed one to a pelican. I had 2 mid size blackfish follow a soft plastic nipper, but that's it. Interestingly, we let 10 unused nippers go and watched them swim happily below the jetty for 5 mins. Maybe they made it home. If i did that in Summer, they wouldn't last 30 seconds.
