mark-fisho1 Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) howdy guys been a while since i posted so thought i better start again .well work was slow today so decided to grab the boat & hit the hawkesbury not expecting to much as there was a srong westerly blowing anywa launched the boat around 1 pm & decided to try to get out of the wind so head into mouth of cowan .somehting has to be said for midweek fishing not a soul arround it was excellent anyway first cast scored a flounder it scoughed my plastic worm all the way in i couldnt beive it the worm was arround 8inches long any way landed & released it then came a few baby squire & the ever persistent choppers shredding my plastics anyway all of a sudden the surface was getting smashed about 500yards ahead of me so quielty snuck up under electirc to score a real decent salmon man do they do some amazing arobatics finally had it near the boat trying to lift it into the net & it tailwalked right in decided to keep 1 for a change i am going to try out some of these fish cake recipes next to come to the boat was a nice tailor into the well that will go down well smoked & eating on friday while drinking beers with the boys :tease:then dropped a cpl more then things went quiet so decided to try flicking for some bream & as usual got a cpl nice lizards ,tomorrow night s dinner been a while since i kept feed so looking forward to it droped another giant lizard just as well anyway makes for a better releas any way then decided i should head for home turned the key bang nothing sounder went off shit i thought iam out here allalone night closeing in & miles from the ramp not feeling very amused i checked a few things then went up front flicked a switch to send power from electic battery bingo all power back looks like the starter battery shit its self unreal thx god for electic motors with out it i would have been stuffed anyway just a thought guys i wonder how people cope if they only got 1 battery ? anyway head back to the ramp arround 5pm was a top little session glad i decided to go iam sure a lot of u love haveing solo outings some of them turn out to be great Edited July 13, 2005 by mark-fisho1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Love midweek fishing when I get the chance, particularly in summer, as there is a significant difference in the amount of boats churning up the water. Sort of lets the fish’s nerves calm down.
