New Jew Spin Outfit

A quick consulation from Fishraiders resident tackle expert - commonly know as SlinkyMalinky and I had my mind made up.

So I just picked up a Nitro Mangnum Butt Distance Spin along with a Shimano 4000 Rarenium CI4...it came with a couple of spools, so I grabbed some 10lb and 20lb Sunline PE too...now I just need time to get out and chase a jew or 2...

Should make for a better fathersday than the normal socks and jocks anyway.

Going a bit far to call me a tackle expert :tease:

I pull reels apart and pretty much own my own tackle shop worth of rods but there's plenty of Raiders who know more than me (they just have more self control so don't necessarily have to own everything) :biggrin2:

Congrats on the new outfit.

Cheers, Slinky

after plenty of research earlier this year for a quality jew/king outfit i decided on a similar set up mate......Nitro Mag Butt (2nd nitro and wont be the last...great rods )and the new Diawa Caldia 4000......1 spool with diawa surf 30lb for kings and the other 20lb for jews.....still yet to land anything decent but confident it will do its job when the times comes .....and impressive to look at too.......RIBS

You should be quite happy with your purchase. I run a magnum butt with a 2500 certate r custom, It has accounted for many a soapy, bucket loads of salmon from the stones and a few Vanuatu trevs to around 3-4kgs. Not to meantion a barra in excess of a meter which Jewhunter succesfull bashed off with the net :ranting2:

Nice one mate, I also just update a spin out fit, didn't spend big but just wanted something that would do the job on the beaches, rocks and the eustries and would be fun to hook up to any fish. Got a mojiko 9ft dynatip with a shimano straidic 6000 reel. Took it for a whirl on the beach last night, sadly no bites but the rod/reel felt great! Much better than the general store special reel with a chunky surf rod from the 80s I've been using :)

Thanks dudes.....looking forward to putting it through its paces. I'm about to start 6 weeks long service leave and a big chunk will be at home so looking forward to targeting the cooks holes and bridges and como and captain cook...I'm yet to crack one on plastic, fingers crossed that changes soon, I certainly won't be able to blame the equipment. Should even be able to knock over a average size king too.
