Bigshow
Hi fish raiders Headed out on Sunday morning with two mates for troll along the coast of Sydney. Started trolling around 6.30am heading south towards bondi , first hookup came within the first 10 min ,small bonito. followed by another two. Shortly after the birds started to work the water showing us where the massive schools of salmon were feeding. We managed a triple hook up 2 times landing 6 salmon and the biggest weighing 4kg and the smallest around 2kg. After trolling down to bondi and back again several times and the salmon had gone off the bite we decided to head to bondi one last time. As we approached north bondi 5 guys in a outrigger canoe Yelled for our attention. As we went to investigate we came across the body of the man that had fallen from Dover heights earlier that morning and then to be told that there was another canoe with 5 guys that had capsized further out. As we called for help by radio and phone we rushed to there aid rescuing 5 extremely cold men then returning back to the body with the water police. All in all it was quiet a horrific day for everyone Lucky for the lives we had saved and Unlucky for the poor fella who lost his life Needless to say that was the end of our fishing day returning back to the boat ramp safely. Take care on the water fellow fish raiders Cheers Aaron

zen801
Well done mate doing the right thing as not everyone would. It is always a sobering experience to look down on a dead body, kinda puts life into perspective. I feel for this guys family, but thanks to you they can grieve and bury their loved one. As mentioned above if it were not for you there possibily would have been other casualties. I am sure the families involved are deeply appreciative of your brave actions. By the way, on a more positive note welcome to Fishraider All the best Ian
