Hi raiders

If you've been watching the footy this year you will be aware of all the bad calls made, more so because in various instances a bad call was made, then as not to look silly, followed thru with the same bad calls thru out the season.

I belive north Queensland would have been the true victors. Yes it's true manly had a bad call against them which cost them a try, but NQLD had 2 benefit of the doubt try's awarded against them, which would have been bad for team morale, therefore affecting performance.

I've had a gutfull of these rubbish calls, and I'm sure the players and coaches have too, some one needs to be liable for these bad calls, especially when it could have cost a team the premiership like it did last night.

Mate I agree the refs this year have been shocking but there is no chance the cowboys would've got that game last night. The cowboys strip should've been a penalty to Manly. Cherry finds touch, ballin taps, gives it to T-Rex who bust them wide open, draws in Bowen then unloads to Snake who plants it under the posts. Killer kicks it and the score is Manly 18 cows 6. No way cows can come back from that, it's not like they're a Quality side like the mighty EAGLES!!!!!

both teams deserved to win last night, however manly seemed like they wanted it more. Shit refs and they will remain giving shit calls until someone takes responsibility for their stupid mistakes

Get rid of bill as well. Looks like the rabbits are going to put on a cricket score tonight.

It'll be great to see the bunnies in the grand final, but I think the dogs will get them. Manly v Dogs GF???? Manly wins, Des in tears, cheering!!!

All about the $$$$, none of them play with their hearts and balls anymore, and the rules have turned it into a girls game.

You don't need to ground the ball to score, you don't even have to cross the line to score, a high profile player does a dangerous tackle or head high and gets bugger all penalty, Inglis for instance in Origin.

All about the dollar and I bet the 2 that make it to Grand Final day are the ones that draw the best crowds to games.

Agree.. But the game is played a lot faster these days then back yesteryear. Don't agree about the two teams to make the GF are the ones that draw in the biggest crowds, cause they are playing on saturday, dogs and rabbits. Manly draw the least and they'll be there to go back to back!!!

I suppose when it's state of origin and it's 1 game a piece and they play a decider... Do you think it's rigged?

Go Manly... No one likes us and we don't give a sh$t!!!

Going back to the "benefit of the doubt" try, I can't fathom the rule. At least in it's wording. What's in doubt here? The authenticity of the try? If that's the case, then you'd think that the defending side would get the benefit. At least that way, the attacking side may not get the points, but in the process of a restart, either by a play the ball or a handover, the attacking side still has field position. The way this stupid rule works at the moment is that the attacking side is awarded a doubtful try and all the points and possession that goes with it. The defending side gets nada! And that's with all four refs unable to decide if the try was a fair one!

I know this is not a great comparison, but in cricket, the benefit of the doubt on the call for a dismissal goes to the batting (defending) side. Why should it be any different in NRL? In the interest of a fair go, change this stupid rule.

How about this, one bloke in charge in the center, and two lines men. no video reff and we all just accept the time a wrong call is made on human error.

Go the sharks. In 2113

Yep... Thats what they are going to do... BOD to defending team.

Plumb, at times during a season, I couldn't agree more. But in general, what with the pace of the game and the inevitable video replays, I'm not too sure. The refereeing standards would have to be exceptionally high to ensure that the mistakes that brought about the current ref configuration (2 on the field, 2 in the box) weren't re-introduced.

Better they change the rules that do not fairly work for the game. They've been doing this reasonably well for the past few years. We need to make sure that the authorities hear the fans and act accordingly.
