Whitsundays Fishing Tips

Hi Guys/Gals,

I am taking the family up to the Whitsundays next week and bareboating a cruiser. Just wondering if anyone can tell me some goods spots, bait to use (can I catch my own without a cast net), what bait should I buy before heading out and any particular lures I should try. If I am trolling X Raps and skirts do I need wire because of Spanards?

Mate i just got back from hamilton island cant help with spots cause i just fished off the whalf and shore spots can catch garfish and pike and squid are pleantyfull.you should have the time of you lives
