elferoz777 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Hi Guys, Been fishing Bulli, Stanwell and Port kembla the last six weeks on the weekend. I fish dawn, dusk , high and low tides and the run in and out....tried all the baits possible but still cannot land a bloody thing. I kind of asked for it as 2 months ago I was cursing the salmon as I was catching bucket loads of them... Anyone else found the beaches to be rather dead for fishing?
GreyNurse Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I fished Wanda / Greenhills yesterday morning from low tide until 11.00. Found a nice gutter and was all expectant. Had a few timid bites after an hour, then quiet again. About am hour after that I had what felt like a bream bite or two, but still timid. No hook ups, except for 1 tiny blue swimmer that took a liking to the squid I was using and somehow managed to pin himself. Let the little blighter go after he had a nip of my finger. The water temp was OK and one of the surfers told me there were heaps of mullet inside the breakers, but that was the extent of it. Still, a beautiful morning, despite jet ski meet about 200 meters down the beach. They didn't bother the fisho's at all. Cheers, Nursie

I've fished Port Kembla break wall during the weekdays (on annual leave), been there probably 4 times in the last 2 weeks for DONUTS! I was using salted bonnie strips on float-gangs, and also on paternosta-gangs, as well as spinning a halco silver chrome lure. I might spend some time cleaning my gear for say, a month
