yammy 60 4 stroke battery charging

hi i have a yammy 60 4 stroke .when i start a day boating with a fully charged battery the volte meter showes 13.2 to 13.5 volts at idle but go up to 14.8 volts above 4500 rpm should the volts be that high.thanks

papay some new batterys have 14.8volts on the battery sticker so its all good mine goes up to 16volts while driving according to my fish finder voltage

Some deep cycle batteries are only suitable to be charged at 14.4V or less and will vary from different manufacturers.

If your battery is just a conventional lead acid unit then 14.8v is fine. When recharging a battery at home, most smart chargers will charge at 14.8v
