Cheers Leo Thanks Leo, I have some 50lb. windons as well as 80,s &120 I thought that 50,s a bit thin for crimping, you thoughts plz.Pray tell about thimble. LeoB Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 G'day Yeah I don't normally crimp 50. For lighter tackle you can also add spring over the line. Thimbles and springs are protection for your line from rubbing on through on your swivel. The same as on your anchor rope to protect it from rubbing off on the d shackle.
