Hi All. this has probberly been answered a thousand time but i couldent find it in a search..

With the upcoming summer Kingy season, what knots to you use for a two hook rig, (for use with squid down rigging) does everyone just use the snelling method? Then join the line to leader with a Double uni Knot, or do you use a swivel?

Is that strong enought for the meter Plus king ill be posting about in the comming mths :1yikes: ...

Cheers Luke

Hi Mate,

On the 80LB combo i use a 2 metre bimini then attatch 80-100LB supple leader joined by a reverse albright. (I use this same knot for jigging the kings hence why its so heavy)

At the business end, double hooked snell rig just as you described will work fine.

All the best mate hope this helps,

year that's pretty heavy. I've been googling it, so I'm assuming your Albright would just be on the loop section of the Bimini? About an inch from the actual Bimini twists?

Not sure if that read right... Might have to tie one and see how I go.

I down rig with my jigging out fits as well. 50lb or 80lb. Snell 2 hooks (sometimes I run a live bait hook on top with a treble at the end) on to ur leader I run a 5m 50lb-150lb leader joined with a FG knot. Never fail rig

If you have the Geoff Wilson knot book there's a few different snells in there.

Yep on the loop section at the end, the beauty of the knot is none of the loop hangs off loose and the knot is extremely slip. the FG knot mentioned above is just as good.
