Port Hacking

Fished the deep water of Lilli Pilli this morning, for the tailor, reddie, the flatties (both were blue spots), flounder (returned another that was legal but not too big), crab, squid, and also returned a small red gurnard. Used squid strips, fresh yellowtail fillets and pilchards, the yellowtail being the best.

Drifted the sand flats in different locations for the bream, whiting and blackfish, those caught on blood worms. Returned a few whiting that were just under size.

Not big fish, but needed a few for my brother, that's why I kept that many.

Caught the first jewie of the season last week, only 49cm, so sent back to grow up. A few big splashes about this morning, but fast moving fish, not tailor though. Probably salmon.

Just finished the flathead and whiting fillets for tea, with a nice riesling to wash it down!

That is a good feed, warm water starting to come in
