bassboy888 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Not really a report more of a whats been happening fishing wise First off would be the trip out to TCD that basscatcher and I decided too do, we headed up a week ago and fished the dam for a big fat donut. We walked the whole thing to see 3 rises and that was it! The weather probably was partly to blame as it was the day the rain and hail swept through sydney. At least we got some exercise and werent stuck indoors. Since that i have made a few trips down to the creek in behind where we live, casting surface lures in hope of some bream. First trip I as surprised with a feisty little mullet This arvo went down to the same place again and caught this small bream and again a small mullet Heading out again tomorrow morning and hopefully will catch a legal bream on surface!
PRED-ATOR Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Hi Bassboy, Thats a nice mullet there! The bream have been going off lately especially on shallow divers. I reckon last nights rains might make for some good fishing also. All the best for your next trip : ) Stan,
foolforjesus Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Hi Bassboy, I was up the ol Thommo last Saturday. The going was tough, managed to wrangle up a couple of decent Rainbows though (4-4.5lb). The water level is full again after delta pumped water up from Lyell, which always makes the fishing tough for a little while. The fish tend to gorge themselves on the weed which gets brought up, which is full of nymphs etc. Not seen many rises of late throughout the day, so you just have to blind cast and persist. Cheers, Chris
