shinobu1608 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 So after 3 months of no fishing, finally got out to Garie beach today. No fish but I'm not complaining because the weather was beautiful. Now when I got home I placed my beach rod against the car (on the side of the road) and went across the road to give my mate his wallet and a 4wd pulled up beside my car, I hear a door open and close, and when I cross back over the road my rod is gone and so is the 4wd! Now I know I shouldn't have just had my rod there, but really I only had the rod out for 1 minute!! Sorry this is not a fishing report but more of a rant, what kind of place do we live in where we cannot turn our back for 1 second! Rant over. Shinobu
J Hooked Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Sorry to hear that happened to you. There are definitely some F@#&* low forms of life around. Normally what goes around comes around, so some day they will get theirs.
rockfisherman Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 What kind of outfit was it mate? Fishingphase
josamill Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 That guy will not have a happy life. Guaranteed.
rockfisherman Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Shinobu If your hard up for cash, I've got a 10ft 6-10kg ugly stik platianum I'm willing to donate. It's in fair condition, I just don't use it anymore, I use to use it for smashing out metal slugs off the rocks, but since sustaining a back injury I won't be doing that anymore, so it's yours. Pm me to arrange a meeting. Fishingphase
shinobu1608 Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) Thanks for all the kind words guys, I'm sure they will get what is coming to them.. Fishingphase your offer is too kind, if you're willing to let it go I'm happy to pay a fair price for it. I'll PM you. The rod was a 10' beach combo from bcf, from memory it was only $150 but it's not the money which bothers me.. Cheers, Shinobu Edited November 26, 2012 by shinobu1608

GreyNurse Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I had a similar thing happen to me some years ago. After a pleasant afternoon fishing Wand Beach, I pulled up outside the block of units the wife and I were living in at the time. Took the gear out of the car and put it in the garage, when the missus calls me up to help her out with something or other. When I come back downstairs, the 12' Butterworth beach rod I had yet to take off the rod rack had gone. Not having a lot of money at the time, it was a while before I could equip myself for my beloved beach sessions. Ya gotta wonder what kind of person does something like that.
