Caldia CD 2000

Hi guys,

Just about to buy a caldia cd 2000. I'm planning to match it to a t-curve t-series 2-5kg rod. Does anyone have experience with the caldia and if so, what rod have you matched it to. I would have gone for a sol rod but i needed a 2 piecer for travelling interstate etc...

Any help would be great.

I've got a 2500 and fish 15lb to its limits. I've fished it hard on many jew, big carp and bass for 6 months with no issues. Nice and light, good drag. There is a bit of flex in the rotor when you crank the drag right up. I have no doubt it will pack it in after a while after the abuse i give it, but it is a good little reel for the price. Its about due for a strip down, i'll be interested to see the how the internals have stood up and how good the mag seal is.

I run mine on either a 4-6kg nitro magnumbutt or a 3-5kg nitro voodoo depending on if i'm yakkin it or landbased

I've just picked up a T-Curve 3-5kg travel rod (3pc)& planning to mount my 2500 Stradic Ci4 on it...

Heading up to Sunshine Coast this weekend so will hopefully get away for a flick and maybe even hit-up the barra farm :-)
