mrsswordfisherman Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 This week we spent some time at Glenbawn Dam. This is Stewy's 18th year in a row. Each time after a session we would stop in at the kiosk and have a chat to Sandra and Denis. Sandra always had a chat and was informative about what had been caught and where and on what lures etc... Denis and Sandra sold the business a few years ago and Carol has taken over and is carrying on the fine tradition. Yesterday Stewy and I sat outside the kiosk and had a coffee after the early morning fishing session. I looked up on the wall and saw an RIP plaque - Sandra had passed away a few months ago. RIP Sandra and thanks for the great service to all the fishraiders that visited over the years. The username Glenbawn Gooroos has been added to our special Eternal Members group on fishraider.
outdoordan Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Thats increadably sad. My condolences to Denis and thier family. Sandra always looked after us so well. May she rest in peace
mrsswordfisherman Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Yes Dan I remembered all the times too
Jewhunter Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Sandra. Her passion & spirit was well known throughout the fishing community. It's great to see that she is an eternal member. Thanks Donna. Cheers, Grant.
