Greetings,

Just wondering if anyone has info on whether sydney waters has responded to requests to open to anglers?

Really curious as the last I heard anything was back in 2011

My guess is that unless we intend on shooting fish they are unlikely to respond.

Prospect has as much chance as Warragamba dam of being open to fishos.

ZERO! It's just the way it is now with the terrorism threat.

A very sad but necessary fact of life in today's' society.

Hmm, that kinda sucks that reservoir is not really Sydney's main supplier of water anymore

Once Prospect Water Filtration Plant was commissioned in 1996, raw water transferred from Warragamba and the Upper Nepean dams was sent directly to the treatment facility, by-passing Prospect Reservoir.

However, Prospect Reservoir remains an integral part of Sydney's drinking water supply and is still needed in times of high demand for water. The filtration plant at Prospect can draw water directly from Prospect Reservoir, providing greater flexibilty in sourcing the best quality water

Hmmm I thought i herd a rumor that the french government had purchased all the land around prospect including the dam.this is only what i've herd,..... when i go to work on monday i will try & find out more on it
