fisholb Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Mate...we were at hill 60 today from 5am to 11am...there were only a couple of salmon,trev,mackerel caught...pretty quiet...
don.a Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 there were birds working just around the point from the boys on the rocks were you there or in a boat
benm Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I was there around 5pm-6pm and got a few squid. Some people got some small to average trevallies but that was about it. I didn't see any water boiling up or anything. Did see a bunch of dolphins that probably scared all the fish away. I was at Killalea in the morning (near the "battleship"), where I had better luck. Got a feed of flathead and some salmon.
fisholb Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I was on the rocks..the boys at the point were burleying hard with bread that's why the birds were everywhere...we caught a couple of trevs and half a dozen mackerel on pilchards and yakkas...
don.a Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 i hooked some good fish off the rocks there 10 years ago gee there hard to land there with so much reef at your feet
fisholb Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Yes mate...plenty of good fish at hill 60...we usually bagged out on the bonito during the summer...my mate caught a 90cm kingy on lure last year...took him around half hour to land it...
