Its personal preference mate between those 2. My personal preference is none of those 'plastic' body reels . I like metal body reels like the Certate. They just feel much better alround to me.

It really comes down to what you want it for. Yes, the Exist is incredibly light which is a benefit not a problem. The materials are top of the line and will not let you down. However if you want something that is tougher then perhaps the stella is the go. Its heavier and not as nice to use in my opinion because of the weight but would be better for heavier line classes.

What are you using it for? What line strength etc? Thats what it comes down to.

ill be using it for around 10 to 15lb Pe line and mostly flicking some plastics for jewfish, what do you recon?

Have a turn of it in the shop and see if you like how it feels. The Exist is a fine reel and one of the best reels you can buy. Very light weight too. I prefer metal body reels but thats just me.

I have noticed over the test of time that my daiwa reels feel nicer than my shimano reels ( around the $300 mark ) when it comes time again to purchase a spinning reel, I'll be going daiwa.

for nice 10-15lb high quality braid and a really nice rod the Exist would be my ultimate choice. So light and an absolute joy to cast all day. I use one for snapper fishing with 15lb braid and find i am now soooooo spoilt. Anytime i pick up other outfits for a similar job they feel heavy and uncomfortable
