squid fishing in airlie beach, qld

Hi all,

I'm heading to airlie beach for a couple of nights tomorrow and was wondering if there were any squid around? If there are, can you suggest any locations I could try (no boat)?

Hi bill, visit the tackle shop next to the nite owl conveina ce shop, they're locals and really handy with their knowledge, if ur just up fOr some fishing fun off of any of the beaches off the main drag there's plenty of fish to be had

I won't be able to get to the shop during business hours unfortunately but I'll have a try off the beach.
