Aqua Naut Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Well the forecast for Day 4 was looking grim and so it was winds upto 35 notts from the SW so the fishing was a right off and only the keen were to go outside hoever in close was not to bad. Few of the boys decided to hit the water to maybe top Kevs 78.4kgs of Mako but that looked like a fair ask to topple that and the trophy seemed destined for NSW this year Team Viking and Team Edwin were the only ones to head in close while a few of the boys decided to hit the breakwall and try there luck for a nice Snapper but it was looking quiet there also. Squid was plentyfull in the area and a few were caught so the boys were having abit of fun topping the freezers up with bait for there next outings. It was getting late and Team edwin decided to stay out alittle longer when we got a call to get to the ramp because they had something on board with considerable size but were keeping it hush hush so all the boys rushed down to the ramp to await the arrival Well it was looking like the 78.4kgs might be coming under attack by Team Edwin and as they arrived another shark had been caught Top job Lee had hooked himself a seven gill shark and on weigh in was a touch over 27kgs The boys were happy and it was then time to get some photos and then cleaning time. It was the last laugh and definately a great close to the SFA comp for 2012....suspense to the very last minute Well it was the close to a fantastic getaway once again and the following day it was prensentation time as the weather worsened and no fishing was to be done and victory to Team Whitewash yet again with another winning weight of 78.4kg Mako caught by Kevin Micallef NSW. Cant wait to do it all again in 2013 Tight Lines!!!
