issue Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Went out on the bay Friday and Saturday mornings and managed a nice 76cm King which crashed a plastic on the surface and put some heat into the drag on the 10lb outfit and then followed it up with a 79cm flatty which was a bycatch of an unsuccessful jewie session. Thats a 7inch Riptide Mullet on a 3/8 jighead. The croc was released of course but the king found its way into the oven. Would have loved to get a jewie to make a nice trifecta but that will have to wait for the wind to drop below 40 knots.
mr.e.p.d Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Nice king , great size flattie the Jew would have topped it off but great session anyway
Dfishin Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Very nice catch. What waterway are you fishing mate ? I fished saturday and found things a bit quite. Dave
issue Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 Thanks , Botany Bay for the king and Georges River for the flatty. Things were Quiet...they were the only 2 bites, so at least my hookup rate was good.
dhype Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 That's a fat flatty ! Well done on your great catch!
erroll Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Good result here buddy. The coloring of that king looks amberjack like almost. Funny how they vary so much in coloration. Cheers
kingie chaser Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Nice work, what area in the bay was the Kingie taken & what sort of SP were you using? Hope to get out wed or thurs this week, or as soon as this wind dies down!
Scratchie Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Nice haul there mate! Still waiting to get a good kingy but that's my target this summer, so stay posted!
