arpie Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Hi guys Check out this cool footage of a yak fishing 'social'! Really neat, using a hover camera that someone is using a remote control, either from another yak or from shore. Looks like they may have a bluetooth screen to see what they are filming! Too Cool!! cheers Roberta
Jewhunter Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Very cool Roberta. I have some new plans for our next cod trip. Cheers, Grant.
arpie Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) .....I have some new plans for our next cod trip....... You'd have to miss all the trees first!! Tell you what, you could have a LOT of fun with them tho!! Quite clever, really & very stable, able to fly at slow speeds - not sure I'd want a $5000 camera hanging underneath tho! More likely, a GoPro! Roberta Edited December 11, 2012 by Roberta
Jewhunter Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I'm thinking a go pro & a release clip to land my surface lures where I can't cast in the big pools!! The mind boggles!!!!! Cheers, Grant.
Jewhunter Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Wow imagine the closes the shots you can get of fish strikes on trolled lures with that thing... Love it!!! I wonder if it would fly when it was tethered to an outrigger?! Cheers, Grant.
LungFai Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 WoW. This gives me ideas....cheap spy cam tethered to some Helium Balloons rigged to Livie. Give it just enough helium to keep the livie from going down and hopefully catch a strike followed by the fight. Might have to get one of the phone waterproof snap bags in case the camera goes for a dive Then create a TV series to Air on TV titled Fish Spy? Hmmm then again...too much work
Hodgey Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Fantastic footage with very impressive gear. Thanks for sharing Roberta! Cheers Ian
rockfisherman Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 $5000 !?!? I don't think I'd get that one past my wife... Fishingphase
bassboy888 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I'm thinking a go pro & a release clip to land my surface lures where I can't cast in the big pools!! The mind boggles!!!!! Cheers, Grant. definitely needs a release clip. 100% cast accuracy then haha, wouldnt that take some of the sport out of it though would love one of these though with a gopro on it..... would give some awesome footage! the angles of shots you would get on surface strikes
pogsy Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Ha,I thought the play triangle was a sail,:/ Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
arpie Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 LOL!! Not a bad idea about getting your lure out where you want it!! I've used my husband Keith to do that before today (using bait from the beach - Keith swam it out & dropped it!) Roberta
