Garmin ECHO 300C

Just bought and fitted a Garmin Echo 300c and took it for a test run.

The depth is fine.

The alarms are fine.

The fish icons fine.

When I went to calibrate the speed it came up with an error, should I have paddle wheel sensor for the speed.

Does anyone own one.

I've just installed one in my half cab and yeah, pretty sure you need a separate sensor (there's another port in the back of the display unit)

yes you do need the speed sensor, I now have one and the unit works great.
