Hi the weather is looking good on sunday for a day out in Botany Bay i was wondering if the king tides are good for the bite or not. i am hoping to fish both change of tides from 330am till maybe after 2pm , fishing the low and high. Any thoughts guys :biggrin2:

I've always got really good bream on king tides. They come into the areas normally meters from the waters edge and flicking lightly weighted plastics and baits does the trick for me.

Great fishing can be had.

Because of the amount of tidal run concentrate your efforts around

a tide change if you can.

If not then try to fish areas that have back eddies & bait.

I have to say, the good ol' servo prawn has worked wonders for me too this year. I've landed 4 bream over 40cm on them and a truckload more in the mid to low 30's. All landbased. Unweighted is the key i reckon. Makes it look natural and keeps it in the strike zone for as long as possible which is crucial in bream fishing.
