joseph2593 Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Nice fish as usual! If you don't mind me asking, what time of the day and tide were you fishing? The current runs pretty strong there on that wharf sometimes
cheekiifisher Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 What a cracker of a report very entertaining. Great work on the hour fish. I spent 6 hours out there today only getting 3 fish. Oh the joys
erroll Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Well done Trung. Funny report and great to see you can weave your obsession into all parts of our life! Cheers
Testlab Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 The north channel at The Entrance is an unusual spot. It can be red hot or nothing. One night I took the boat through there with the prawn light under the water so we could see the bottom and the flatties were so thick in places they were laying on top of one another. None would take a bait or a lure. Spawning?
The Poacher Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Hi Trung, I love on the Central Coast and I have been to Chipmunks - you deserve every flathead you can get to balance the score after suffering through a kids party there! The Poacher
weekendfisher Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Nice repoprt there, you are keen, I wish i could get out and fish as much as you. I feel your pain as i have spent many birthdays at chipmunks with the nieces and newphews as they live on the coast but the benefit is always getting the chance to get in a fish. I find that wharf area to be a funny spot as some times i won't even get a bite but then we have had days where we clean up. recent years have been much slower.. Anyway looks like a few days worth of good fishing you had there.

The current runs pretty strong there on that wharf sometimes The tide was running out and fished the area from about 6:30pm.... The current was fllowing not strong at all... I caught all the fish within a 5 meter area as the wharlf was full of people throwing out 12 ounce snapper sinkers in what appeared to be 2m of water! What a cracker of a report very entertaining. Great work on the hour fish. I spent 6 hours out there today only getting 3 fish. Oh the joys 6 hours for 3 fish beats 3 hours with 60 screaming kids at the chipmunk play center hands down! Oh the joys! One word hardcore All the way! I fish whenever and wherever ! Hi Trung, I love on the Central Coast and I have been to Chipmunks - you deserve every flathead you can get to balance the score after suffering through a kids party there! The Poacher Mate , you are not wrong... 3 hours around blokes dressed in gaint rat costumes with 100's of screaming kids pulling on their tails is enough to make anyone go insane... Thank god I had a fish afterwards! Edited December 16, 2012 by dhype

WIN WIN WIN, now just go and buy a lottery ticket and WIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Great report. Hahaha ... Life's hard at the moment as you can clearly see Times are tough so have to go fishing to put food on the table... That's what I tell the wife! Who the hell pays $40 for a kilo of flatly fillets?
joseph2593 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Just got back from there, had room to myself on the wharf then people come from everywhere literally shoulder to shoulder which causes line tangles, very frustrating! Cops then came down later for an inspection and it's amazing how many people hide their undersize fish ( mainly whiting ) and try not to act sus. Very funny but sad to watch at the same time...
lukemdoyle Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 hahah well done big bucks, it's all too easy for you
Keflapod Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Trung, You live life dangerously.... 1. You tell the wife that fishing is just for the table and get away with that one.......Well, OK - I use that lie as well.....WIN ! 2. You say "Catching and releasing 1/2 dozen fish in an hour on plastics while seeing 10 other people next to me catch nothing on bait" - That's a "Win" ? Mate if those 10 people turn on you they may decide to hide their undersized whiting on your person ! Then to release those fish in front of the fishless people is just asking to be chucked in.... And to do it with that fake erotic-feeling plastic stuff on a hook is just not fishing - it's cheating of some sort, right ? So did you take your fishing gear to JLo's concert ? Probably catch a fat-head or two there as well. Well done mate - you did really well to escape the crowds alive while catching and releasing some fish.... Stuntman Trung.... Tony
