We can happily report that the first marlin for the season was caught today off Sydney. We chartered both days this weekend but both days didn't quite go to plan. We started great with some nice kings & giant bonitos before heading for the shelf. Sadley at around 11am & in 60 fathoms with the water looking great with 21 degrees & plenty of bait we changed course & headed for home with extremely seasick clients both days. We soon heard the first fish caught at around 12.30pm and soon after another raised in a spread of lures. We proceeded to turn the volume on the radio down so didn't hear anything else. It was our clubs pointscore day today so will hear more reports later & put up any other news.

Anyway the conditions look great & fish are being caught at Port Stephens so the fishing should only get better off Sydney over the next few weeks.

Cheers

Well thats great news guys! Sorry to here of your day cut short, not to worry, there's a full season ahead! Did they take sea sick tabs before the trip?

Where did you get the kings? Did you get them on jigs?

A few caught Sunday too Damo. Heard 1 down off Port Hacking,a couple in close off Broken bay and a couple more further north. We had a fish up on the teaser but couldn't switch him onto a bait around the shelf off Botany as well.

Well we heard today of at least 6 marlin caught on Sunday and a couple of boats had fish in their spread but couldn't get them to bite. Most fish were in 60-80 fathoms with a couple caught on baitballs in 50 meters of water.

The kings were up at Long Reef but had thinned out since last week & were caught on lures & live bait.

Cheers
