Hi Guys

Went out today and got some squid as you do when chasing Kings, then proceeded to DR around and drifted for kings. Got them on DR , plastics and just plain old Fresh squid strips.

They seemed to be everywhere there there that spot and threw back close to 30 or so lost count after a while, and got busted off by 2 bigger models. End up with 4 keepers.

It was the most kings we encountered so far, Worked hard to sort out the bigger ones for the table, The bigger ones tend be holding deeper...Wrist and hands were getting tired so we Left them biting.

It is going to be a good season.

Well done Formosan!

I hit the Harbour Thursday morn' but only managed a few Tailor inside and a couple of greedy Sergeant Bakers off the Sth Head bommie...

But seeing your catch makes me even more determined...!

Tight Lines!!

Good to see a few kings from the bay. Hopefully just in time for my holidays. What was the size of the larger one in the 2nd photo?

Cheers Luke

Good to see that the Bay is showing signs of a promising summer... Great catch Formosan... Were you able to target them inside the Bay or outside the heads? (if you don't mind sharing) :-)

Yeh don't give up, when you have squid you are in with a good chance then you just need to find them.

Hey Anthony

Nice work. It's going to be a good summer. Were they inside our out side.

Thanks..It is going to be a good season see ya on the water and have a chat.

WOW!!, good onya mate, top catch of kings and a heap of fun too..

Yeh heaps of fun ..lucky to stumble on a good patch that was hungry at the time.

Even with 100lb leader all rigged up for DR, we put on a snap on sinker and they smash it everytime the bait hist the water. Not leader shy at all.

You know it's a good session when the RSI kicks in ;) awesome

They are inside and outside. They move around depending on bait aggregation and tides.
