A.dawg Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Hi raiders Heading down to jervis bay ( callala bay for a few days over Christmas with a few raiders. Don't a fair bit of research and have found squid flathead and whiting spots. I can't seem to find any king spots inside the bay or within close pedaling/ paddling distance no more than 4 -5 kms Is the any spots close to callala bay or beach where I can hook onto a few kings? Cheers Alan
bharris Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) Man its a big treck to get to somewere to get kings on your hobie thats not a sanctury zone and if the wind picks uo it can get a bit hairy.but theres some good squiding grounds near the ramp.might be good to do a day trip to st georges basin around santury point on the reefs you will get leagle reds good bream and if you work the edges good flaties and dont forget whiting on poppers.best to hit in the morning because dose get windy most days after lunch and its a big bay so can get bad.ill be at mums most of the time so call me n ill get the canoe out n show u a few spots Sent from my GT-I9100T using Tapatalk 2 Edited December 20, 2012 by kingfisher84

From callala bay to longnose is bout maybe 10 min flat out in a 30 hp but have seen bonito schools just next to callala bay so maybe u might get kings mixed in

burnsie Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 If u go into the national park and then to summer cloud bay there's all reefs there close to shore, a few reds around there apparently
