Port Stephens Shoal Bay

Hey raiders I'm heading up to shoal bay port Stephens around New Years and I'm not sure what sorts of species I can target around there. I will be land based. If anyone can help me on this it would be much appreciated.

Suggest you start with the "search" function as the question has been asked on a number of previous occusions & there is heaps of information.

I usually fish off the beach up there of from the wharf which is pretty much opposite the pub.

Mainly bream and flathead around there with the occasional tailor.

There is a good tackle and bait shop at Nelson bay on the main strip the guy there knows his stuff he will be able to sort you out with a few good spots.
