Heath R Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Hi All Just sharing a photo of a flatty my brother caught yesterday in Oyster Bay on the Georges on a 100mm black and gold squidgy fish. Caught on the run out and released to make more babby flatties. He was very lucky as he was only using 8lb leader and I reckon 1 more good head shake and she would have been gone. Heath
Ribs Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Again the robbo brothers produce!! Nice fish....... I'm gonna try and catch her again tomorrow!!! Well done
bassboy888 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Well done to your brother! Cracking fish there. Seems like the George's is turning up the heat on the big flatties this year, can only be a good sign on breeding fish!
Day's Fishin Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Catch and release gives you a good feeling watching them swimming back down. Regards Jeff
jenno64 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Great fat and healthy fish Heath and well done on the light gear. I fished up the end of the bay in the last week for some good numbers of smaller flatties, what depth did you get her in?
Heath R Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Hi jenno She was caught right up the back of the bay at the entrance to the creek in about 4 foot of water. I'm guessing she was waiting for the mullet to come out of the creek. We also encountered good numbers Edited December 30, 2012 by Heath R
