G'day all.

Just a quick update for anyone heading to the Goldy

over the holiday period.

I finally convinced a couple of local bottom bashers to target

the mini marlin that have been lurking around of late.

Raised two & dropped one with zero landed.

Frustrating but nice to raise a couple.

At least my plan was on the money. The techniques

need improving.

It's been many years since I chased a marlin & the 1st time

up this way.

We found the fish in 20-30 mtrs off Burleigh & Palm Beach.

Temp in 20 mtrs was 26.4C at 35 mtrs it was 25.6.

Gday ...we were out yesterday got a couple of nice dollies (double hookup) and saw a free jumping black marlin on the way in. Had to come in due to that southerly otherwise it would have went off i reckon...what time did you raise your fish and did you hang around after the southerly hit?

Just re-read your post we were out sat not friday like you....great to hear they are around though.....
