Will get a photo up soon, but cracked an 83cm flattie in Tuross River at 10.30am this morning and I was stoked! Had just landed a 55cm beauty on a squidgy when, for the 3rd time in 2 sessions my other rod, with a humble pillie tail, went off big time. On all three occasions, with 10lb braid and a 14lb leader I really struggled to reign the fish in....the first time I was spooled, the second time dehooked, but this time, I stayed with it, and up to the side of the boat after 10 mins came a wobegong like flattie at 83cm. Photos which I will post, then off she swam off in good condition. the fish was caught in about 4 feet of water a fair way up the river. i'll be back tomorrow.....love holidays!
