Species Targets Lists

G'day Raiders

Hope everyone is having a good holiday and getting lots of fishing done. Thought I'd start this thread as this week I've had a few new firsts and on several outings I've come back empty handed when targeting other species so just wanted to see if other raiders have any species targets out there or if they've managed to knock them off recently

My main targets to catch (In no particular order)

1. The elusive Jewfish, had several runs, been busted off a twice and spat out a few times in recent weeks.
   
2. A good sized snapper, the pinkies have been extremely fun so I can only imagine what the big ones are like.
   
3. A Mahi Mahi. Long way off but one can dream
   
4. A Morwong. Out of curiosity more than anything.
   
5. A Bonito. Heard they're fun.
   
6. Australian Salmon. Heard they're fun.
   
7. Rock Cod. Mum got a big one in front of me when I was in WA and it was a damn good fight.
   
8. Kingies. One of the species I've knocked off this week, but can you ever get sick of targeting them? The adrenaline is something else.
   
9. Squid. I've had one on the line but dropped bringing him up
   

Added a poll too to see what the most popular target species are. It may not cover all the species out there so let me know if I should add anything to the list

I mostly fish land based though I still think I can get my list.....2013 resolution is to catch one of each.

My list consists of fish I am yet top catch

1)Bonito (love the taste...yes I do have taste buds)

2)Jewfish....just want one

3)King fish

4)Frigate Mackerel

5)Slimie Mackerel (never caught one)

6)Snapper (land based)

7)Gummy shark

8)Whiting

9)Drummer

10)Squid would be nice

Got most inshore and estuary fish just got to crack the magic marks

Bass -50

Bream-45

Jewwie-120

E.p -50

Flatie -be happy to beet my p.b of 87cm

King-100

Snapper anything over 80

All on lures.have got very close to a few in the last few months but not close enuff
