Fish ID Please

Hey guys, wondering if someone could help me ID this fish my Dad caught? We were fishing in the Harbour and caught this just outside the heads. Im guessing it's a Cod of some sort. Thanks guys

The fish had big scales and sharp point teeth, as well as this long red fin on its back.
